On December 3, 2009, Google announced that it was providing free DNS (Domain Name System) services to all internet users known as Google Public DNS. Google said that Google Public DNS was created as a Google effort to provide a faster and safer website. Until 2014, Google Public DNS was the largest public DNS service in the world with 400 billion requests per day. It should be noted that Google Public DNS is not associated with Google Cloud DNS, which is Google’s DNS hosting service.
Google Public DNS has two IP Addresses for IPv4 namely 22.214.171.124 and 126.96.36.199. 188.8.131.52 is their primary DNS, while 184.108.40.206 is Google’s secondary DNS. Google Public DNS is also free and safe to use. As long as you have internet access, you can freely use this service.
